“Over the years I have undertaken several management and leadership roles and have experience in using quality improvement methods to redesign patient pathways.

“Through the RCPCH role, I would advance the college strategy for quality improvement by promoting the importance of data access and utility for informing and planning QI projects. My leadership and contributions enabling others to improve quality has demonstrated the importance of supporting clinicians to understand what data is available to them and how to analyse it. I am glad to be appointed to this role and look forward to working with the RCPCH team.”

Dr Jan Dudley

Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist

Lead for Dialysis Quality

Bristol Royal Hospital For Children, England

President Elect of the British Association for Paediatric Nephrology

“Delivering high quality care consistently to children and young people requires availability of rigorously developed clinical guidelines, a commitment to learn from errors and excellence and a drive to effect measurable improvements in care.

“The College is uniquely placed to support the paediatric workforce to achieve these goals and I am delighted to be involved with this as Officer for Clinical Standards and QI.”
