Professor Tim Briggs, Chair of the Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) Programme, and Dr Guy Northover, GIRFT National Clinical Lead for Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services, co-hosted a webinar on 9th June, 2022 to discuss how services can ensure young people receive the right crisis intervention at the right point in the urgent care pathway.
In the webinar, they also discussed the wide-ranging findings and recommendations of a new GIRFT national report for children and young people’s mental health services.
Prof Briggs and Dr Northover were joined by:
- Professor Prathiba Chitsabesan, NHSE National Specialty Advisor for Children and Young People’s Mental Health, who will talk about how the use of data can be improved to inform future practice.
- Dr Fiona Pender, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Strategic Clinical Director of the Children Young People and Families Care Group at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, who will present on developing an evidence-based risk stratification tool to manage Tier 4 CAMHS admissions.
